我们不至消灭，是出于耶和华诸般的慈爱。是因他的怜悯不至断绝。每早晨，这都是新的。你的诚实极其广大。（哀 3:22-23）
有时旅行会变得有些无聊，即使风景不断变化，但整体变化可能很小。这些景色都是差不多的：山川，河流，树木，山川，河流，树木……我们可能已经看过很多次了。
有时，我们被问到最近怎么样的时候会说，“老样子，老样子”。 没什么激动和特别的事发生，而是日复一日做着同样的事情。当一个人变成老、残疾或者生病的时候尤其如此，每天都是在重复昨天的日子。
《耶利米哀歌》的作者坐在耶路撒冷的废墟当中。他很清楚昔日的荣耀辉煌已不复存在。日复一日，他凝视这满目疮痍的残垣断壁，心中哀痛，怆然涕下。
但如果我们问他事情将如何发展，他会回答说，“神的诚实极其广大。他的恩典每早晨都是新的。” 每一天都是神恩典的见证，在耶稣基督的爱里向我们显现。每一天都发现神是慈爱的。生活会有苦难，但是神的恩典永远是新鲜而甘甜的。我们要透过事物的表象，看到真正让人敬畏的事，每天都应该如此。
思考问题：为什么今生有时会这么痛苦？我们如何防止苦毒进入我们的心？

SAME OLD-SAME-OLD
Because of the Lord 's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Sometimes traveling can be a bit boring. Even though the scenery alters form time to time, the overall change can be minor. It is the same old vista: mountain, lake, trees, mountain, lake, trees... We have probably seen ti many times before.
When we are asked how things are going, we sometimes say, "Same old-same-old." Nothing exciting or spectacular is happening; rather, we are gong through the same routine day after day. This is especially true when a person becomes elderly, handicapped, or sick. Every day seems like a carbon copy of the day before.
The writer of Lamentations was sitting amidst the ruins of the city of Jerusalem. He knew that things would never be the same again. Day after day, he observed the pitiful remains of what once was. He mourned and wept bitterly.
But if we could have asked him how things were going, he would have answered, "Great is God's faithfulness. His mercies are new every morning." Every day is a testimony to God's grace, shown to us in the love of Jesus Christ. Every day is a discovery that God is gracious. Life can sometimes be bitter, but God's grace is always fresh and sweet. We need to look beyond what is seen to what is truly awesome, every day.
Question: Why is this life sometimes so very bitter? How do we prevent bitterness from entering our heart?
