Today is my Day One officially joining FN FWA BU.
As a Wireless/Mobility Network veteran, the step is big – moving from MN to FN. But it is not so big considering FWA – Fixed Wireless Access – is a business integrating both FN and MN. It is a great place for me to start new chapter.
I may be quite new for many of you – let me give a short self-introduction. I joined Lucent Technologies in 2000, and I was very lucky to see how great the industry was at that time which could not be seen just several years later. Since then, I have tried different roles in R&D – software developer, designer, team leader, and System Architecture/Engineering (Interestingly even though I have been leading testing organization for quite several years, I was not to be a tester ever). Then from 2005, I decided to go to management path due to various reasons – first as technical manager, R&D leader, then R&D head and latest MN Tribe Leader. My last work was 4G LTE. I was privileged to be able to work with various great teams across the globe, and made 4GLTE a great success in about past 10 years, from the very first call, first hardware board, first delivery/deployment to the very end of LTE product maintenance.
You may wonder why I am here – well - #1 it is the great FWA team. I was impressed deeply by the dedication, hard work, and can-do attitude demonstrated by the team, which is mandatory for a startup business. The team may be small and even sometimes not in well order, but I can feel strong heartbeat, enthusiasm, desire to win. Those definitely attract me. #2 clearly is the leadership. I have many discussion with Xian Kai, and have opportunity to face to face talk to Leopold, and other FWA leaders. I would say they are wonderful leaders, who I would like to follow and work with – strong will, clear direction, deep trust. I believe nothing is impossible with their leadership and the strong team. #3 is myself. I would like to do something different with everything are settled for me – it is the time to change. So I am here, and just as Kai put it in a very nice way “Let’s MAKE IT TOGETHER”
I am looking forward to working with you. Clearly I want to work with you to create “Wow” products, and bring the best-in-class FWA experience for our customers via our products, and services. That keeps unchanged whatever the situation will be. High quality, cost effectiveness, timely delivery to market, neatly & thoughtful design shall be our FWA IDs. That is foundation where our revenue is from, where our profit is from, and the reason why team exist and is paid for. But that is not all – we also would like to build a strong team, a growing team – we fight together, create together, grow together, we make the impossible possible together. With that, we would like FWA to be a great place to stay, a fantastic experience in our career.
