So the reason I wanted to write about this is that I am having my athletics day in one week and I'm really training hard to try and beat the previous athletics records. I'm really trying to get five minutes on the 1500m run. But, I am here to share my thoughts on physical exercise. Not until recently, I've been doing running. Not just to train for the day but also because I realised how important being fit is. Though I'm not unhealthy, I still run.

Many of my friends go on runs to stay healthy and fit. That's my first point. Running keeps you healthy and often times when you exercise in the morning you feel much more productive and energised for the rest of the day. When you go running, your body has to take more energy from the air so you don't get tired quickly. This is the reason you are extremely energised when you run and can feel energised for the day. Also when you run, your body releases hormones that make you feel happy and relaxed. This can also benefit the rest of your day and also contributed to the fact that running in the morning energises your entire day. My personal experience with this is very effective. Since I now go to a private school, the workload has increased and my sleep time has decreased. But on the day (Thursday) when I have physical education classes, I feel much more energised and less sleepy for the rest of the entire day! I highly suggest you run, even for 10 minutes, it'll help you a lot.

My second reason to consider exercise as an extremely important activity is the mental aspect of it. When you are tired and don't want to continue with something, many times we give up or rage quit. Running can put you into the same state, but the feeling you get is different. You get a feeling that you can push through and you'll come out the other end smiling and happier than ever before. This is probably the most important reason why I've started to run. The way to interpret and discuss problems in our daily lives are complicated. We think in our own different ways and if you have a strong mindset that won't give up on you, how can interpret and discuss those complicated problems with much more ease and patience and the ability to last through the experience. Exactly like running.

So those are the two reasons why I believe that you should start running and building your body and mind to a higher level. Running can bring you places that you wouldn't normally feel. Excited, tired, proud and strong are all experienced when you run and they all feel different to how you would normally expect them. They come in a physical form. So take this away if it's the last word you read today. Your body will return the favour.
