首先，我们可以想象一下这条贪婪的蛇吃象的全过程：锁定目标（要吃）-正吃-吃完-吃了
动词
要吃：The snake will swallow the elephant.
正吃：The snake is swallowing the elephant.
吃完：The snake has swallowed the elephant.
吃了：The snake swallowed the elephant just now.
视角切换到象，那就是被动了，过程是将被吃-正被吃-已被吃-被吃了
被动
将被吃：The elephant will be swallowed by the snake.
正被吃：The elephant is being swallowed by the snake.
已被吃：The elephant has been swallowed by the snake.
被吃了：The elephant was swallowed by the snake.
分词和动词的区别就在于，有分词成短语，有动词成句子。

要吃象的蛇：The snake to swallow the elephant is long.
将被吃掉的象：The elephant to be swallowed is big.
正吃象的蛇：The snake swallowing the elephant is long.
正被吃掉的象：The elephant being swallowed is big.
