今早读到Phil Knight在富士山上遇到Sarah，两人从相恋到分开的一段情缘。那时恰逢Phil Knight刚拯救了自己的公司，回家报喜的第一句却是"I'd met a girl."然后才是"I'd saved my company."可见一斑。我很喜欢这段情节，也因此学到一些有趣的表达，记录如下：
1. If only this could never end, we said, but of course it had to. 我们说要是永远这样就好了，当然，天下没有不散的筵席。
2. over dinner 晚餐时

6. I was bereft again. “患得患失”可以这么表达。
7. I phoned her. 除了call，phone也可以用作动词。
8. No sale. 没有任何商量的余地。
9. Standing under an eight-foot spruce we shared a huckleberry kiss. 在这里 a huckleberry kiss 指 a sweet kiss。
