The logic system

Our company organized one management forum yesterday and we invited a very famous economist professor Liu to share the audience about our country’s economic situation and reform which is a really heated topic these days. His ideas were so sharp and I was deeply attracted by his words.

I was responsible for refining his speech and while I was scanning the paper from the speed recorder, I found his speech had such a strong logic system to support his ideas which we couldn’t feel while listening because we mostly focus on the details instead of the whole content. It’s the same as the works we do everyday. When we are trapped into the job details, our focus is transferred to these details. But when we summarize or replay the content, we’ll find the logic system and so many neglected details. At this moment, we see it at a whole view of the job. It’s difficult to get everything we listen so it’s rather important for us to summarize. 

Every book has its logic but it’s not so obvious. If we couldn’t find the logic, we’ll been tangled by the details and couldn’t grab what the author wanted to tell us. It’s much easier to write logically compared with speaking logically. When I listened to professor Liu’s speech, I didn’t catch his logic but I could understand his idea more easily with the help of his unobvious and strong logic. The more I refined his speech, the more I respected his professional ability. He must have read a lot and written a lot. Compared with people like him, I spent so little time on my job.
