Our dog, Rex got accustomed to barking everytime he wanted to come into the garden. As the neighbours complained of the noise, he was trained by my husband to press his paw on the latch to let himself in. Rex soon became an expert at opening the gate.
Unfortunately, he has developed another bad habit after I opened the gate to let him out of the garden. He prefers to bark and let him out of the garden with the help of people. And he is unwilling to open the garden to let himself out. Yesterday my husband
removed the gate and Rex got so annoyed we have not seen him since.
