Saturn is almost as wide as Jupiter, but even three Saturns combined aren’t as heavy as one Jupiter. Saturn is far lighter than Jupiter.

In fact it is the least dense planet of all. The giant gas planet could float in a bathtub filled with water if such a colossal thing existed.

Saturn makes a complete orbit around the Sun in about 29 Earth years. Saturn also has four seasons, but it takes more than 7 years for each season because it is so far away from the Sun that it is extremely cold in summer.

The rotation of Saturn is very fast, second only to Jupiter, making its shape flattened. It is the flattest planet of the Solar System.

Saturn has the most spectacular ring system. They are made billions of small chunks of ice and rock. These chunks of ice and rock vary in size. Some are as small as grain of sand. Others are as large as a house. Some are even as large as mountains.

From far, Saturn looks like it has seven large rings. The rings sit still, they circle Saturn at high speed. The ring would look mostly white, if you look at them at the from the top of cloud on Saturn .
