1. transaction

noun

- a piece of business that is done between people, especially an act of buying or selling交易，业务，买卖

=deal

e.g. financial transactions between companies

- the process of doing something办理，处理

e.g. the transaction of government business

2. dire

adj

- very serious 极其严重的，危急的

e.g. Such action may have dire consequences.

in dire straits = in a very difficult situations

- very bad极糟的，极差的

e.g. the action is dire.

3. unscathed

adj

- not hurt未受伤害，未受伤

=unharmed

e.g.The hostages emerged from their ordeal unscathed.

4. resilient

adj:

- able to feel better quickly after something unpleasant such as shock, injury, etc.可迅速恢复的，有适应力的

e.g. He'll get over it—young people are amazingly resilient.

- (of a substance) returning to its original shape after being bent, stretched, or pressed有弹性的，能复原的

哑管道，只是提供了基础服务，并不参与到增值服务中去。银行提供了一些用户账户信息，但是没有利用这些进行一些增值服务。

7. water down

10. familiarity

11. confrontation
