允许被说服

Because human behavior is so controversial and complex, the best answers that we can find for many questions about our behavior will be probablistic in nature. Even if we were aware of every bit of evidence about the effects of excercise on our mental health, we could still not expect certainty about those effects. We still need to commit to a particular course of action to prevent our becoming a "hollow man" or a "nowhere woman." But once we acknowledge that our commitments are based on probability and not certainty, we will be much more open to the reasoning of those who are trying to persuade us to change our minds. After all, we may well be wrong about some of our beliefs.

这段话的意思是说人是复杂的动物，人的行为往往是很复杂和有争议的，关于我们的行为的原因也有很大的不确定性，我们所坚信的一些事情有可能是完全错误的，认识到这一点以后，我们在试图说服别人的时候是不是也应该允许自己被说服。

这是我第三次遇到“允许被说服”了，第一次是小董推荐的一本书《允许被说服》，第二次是上周黎叔对BA说：“要允许被DEV说服。” 总之我们要以开放和谦虚的心态允许自己被别人说服。
