Premier Li emphasized that central and western areas of China is the major area to develope economy on Tuesday during the annual session of the National People's Congress.
Last year,Chongqing's GDP was on the top of China,and aims to grow by 11% this year.Premier Li encouraged Chongqing to play a leading role of central and western area and develope service industry as well.
Chongqing lies on not only China's Belt and Road Initiative but also Yangtze River Economic Belt.Therefore,it plays an important role in expanding free trade for these areas.Additonally,Chongqing is a key city to link China to Singapore in finanial services,logistic and so on.
According to Mr Zhang,a regional economist,attached great importance on Chongqing's significance to neighbor cities.Delegating power to lower levels was repeated by Premier Li during the meeting on Tuesday.
Liu,a deputy of local primary school,hoped that more attention could be laid on education projects.Premier Li agreed to her request and took a photo with the all the women,as this day is also the International Women's Day.
