I think it is a good idea to allow students to watch tv in dormantories. The advantages are that students can get to know the latest news more easily and can get better relax. The disadvantage is that student may be obsessed into watching tv programs and do not pay attention to study. But I think that students in university have the self control and discipline. So the tv will do more good than harm.
