Am I up to this level?

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. ----2Corinthians7:1

We have such promises. It is right that God should keep his promises, but only on the human side. On the divine side, through these promises man acknowledges the sovereignty of God. For example, do I regard the body as a temple of the spirit, or I let bad nature remain so that it cannot reflect the light of God? Through the sanctification and justification, the son of God dwells in me, but I must submit to Him so that the nature life may be changed into a spiritual life. God’s teaching is meticulous. When He examines us, do not consult with flesh and blood, but purify ourselves immediately. Keep ourselves holy and pure in our daily life and deeds.

I will remove all filthiness from the flesh and the spirit and make it according to the disposition of God. Do the thoughts of my heart coincide with the life of the son of God in me? or will my spirit disobey? Do I have the heart of Christ? He never said anything on His own, but is always on the alert, continually obedient to His father the Lord. I will hold on to the spirit of the Lord, and gradually Jesus will lift me up to his day. We need follow God’s will completely and nothing else. Do I fear God, seek this holiness, and attain it? Can God fulfill his desire in me? Can others see God’s disposition more and more from me? Be true to God, and everything else is nothing. Earnestly put God first.

Dear God, I was foolish and ignorant. I was as a beast before you. These words express what I am before you. when I look at the request of our Lord from the image of the pure and holy God, I am deeply ashamed of my foolish and brutish thoughts.
