同学们在做试题的时候会经常遇到much too 和too much, too many这几个词组，在填空和做选择的时候常常混淆，现在我们就来区分一下这些词组的不同的用法。（1） much too：much too这个词组中，副词too是核心词，汉语意思是“太”的意思，后接形容词或副词，much 修饰too ,起到增加副词程度的作用，所以我们只看后面的核心词too就可以了。例1：It’s much too heavy.例2：The shirt is much too big for your son.(2) too much : 有三种不同的用法（一）too much这个词组中,形容词much是核心词，它的意思是“很多的”的意思， 这个词组里too 来修饰much很多，too much的意思就是“相当多”的意思，后接名词，注意much修饰不可数名词，所以too much修饰不可数名词。例1：You’ve given me too much help.例2：There is too much snow in Beijing.（二）另外too much也可以表示某种程度，表示某个动作做的太多,用来修饰动词的。例3： Don’t eat too much.例4：you speak too much.（三）too much有时候还相当于名词。例1：Too much was happening these days .例2：My parents have given me too much.(3) much的对应词是“many”,因此就有too many这个词组，意思是 “相当多”，注意many修饰可数名词,这个词组要用来修饰可数名词。例1：There are too many mistakes in your homework.例2：I saw too many birds in the tree just now.总而言之，这三个词组我们只需要重点看后面的核心词就可以，然后根据核心词后面词的词性来判断应该选择哪一个。
