The world knows it is located in the observable universe. It is a compound consisting of different elements, forces, and space.
Space is the theatre, gravity is the stage, and elements are actors. They all function tensely under the rule of physics in most situations. Blackhole is an exception because we just don't get the hand of extreme physics. Anyway, the story of the world has no script, no director (no offensive), every force, every atom everything just flow under the law of the physics. No one knows what is going to happen, what happens happens, It is what it is. All the events occur in our world are triggered by uncertainty. As the law of Quantum Physics demonstrates, the only certainty in the microcosmic is uncertainty. As the extension of microcosmic, the macroscopic works the same way.
The world we are living in hasn't been fully understood yet, actually, not even close. Science is tentative, everything changes as the time flow, even time. Even time is an abstract concept mentioned by a bunch of scientists. However, the theories, researches and studies that we are focusing on might be complete nonsense to an advancer civilization.
So why are we studying physics?
In my opinion, the only difference which separates us from animals to human is that we love searching for truth, we think as a community and we are doing things that not just for our living, but greater, meaningless but also valuable goal.
