This morning when I opened my Jianshu home page, I was surprised to to see that I was awarded with more than 29 "diamond points". This had never happened to me previously.
Most of these points received were from two articles that I sent to a special interest column and were accepted. Maybe because during the holiday period there are some kind of special rules that these articles received so many points.
As I determined not to pay attention to the D-Points I received for each articles I wrote, I couldn't help but checking on how many points I received every time. It's my human nature that drove me.
I think the app's marketing strategy is working. Everybody using the app is motivated by the Diamond Point system, although I'm still not clear how the rules work. All I know is gaining more exposure and being more active while using the app for my article would work better.
I should keep in mind that my true intention on writing is to improve my writing skill, and eventually get published. It doesn't hurt to have a little bit of fun on the way while fulfilling my dreams.
