假期，我们带女儿去某座城市旅行。她总是要把自己看到的垃圾捡起来，然后寻找就近的垃圾箱。我们当然很欣慰她能够这样做，也乐意在途中等待她。不过我还是问女儿，宝贝，大街上这么多的人，他们也有一些人看到了，但是和妈妈一样，走过去，并没有去想着捡起来。妈妈，没有做到像你这样。
她说，妈妈，大人可能觉得这是很微不足道的事情吧（tiny thing）。她的报道如下：
Rubbish Cleaning Yolanda
I'm a cleaner. People never or hardly ever pick up rubbish on the floor. Do you know where the rubbish is going to land if we don't pick it all up?
It's going to land in the sea or somewhere where it shouldn't land.
Life is hard for sea creatures. If a plastic bag lands in the sea, a sea turtle may think that it is a jellyfish and turtles eat jellyfish, so they are tricked into eating a plastic bag instead of a jellyfish. It will choke and float up to the surface. A normal sea turtle would catch its own food in the sea, but this or these turtles may not be able to catch food. So sooner or later, it will pass away.
People are cruel and don't think about others. It doesn't matter if it is an animal, human or object. Think about if you weren't cared, how would you feel.
Please make sure that your surroundings are clear for any rubbish. If you happen to see something that is rubbish, especially plastic bags, please don't be lazy and wait for somebody else to pick it up for you.
