How the Environment Has Changed Since the First Earth Day

April 22, the International Mother Earth Day, a day of raising awareness to preserve the Earth, has changed since the first Earth Day. When the first Earth Day was held in 1970, pollution was everywhere around the globe, and some species were being harmed. However, today in the modern times, the issues are way more serious. Even the theme of Earth Day 2018 is about plastics, more severe issues are negatively impacting the earth—habitat loss and climate change. Nevertheless that the government are putting great effort in to environment protection, people like ourselves still have to “emotionally connect” to nature, and have a mind set that needs to really value and protect the Earth.
