And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the son. ---John14:13
Am I engaged in the inner ministry? Intercession has not a danger of a snare or indulgence or pride, which is also a hidden ministry, and the fruits it bears can glorify God. Do I let my spiritual life wear me out, or do I gather all in one place—my Lord’s redemption? Is Jesus Christ becoming more and more dominant in my life? If the only center of gravity and the greatest driving force in my life is the Lord’s redemption, then every aspect of my life will bear fruit for Him.
I must take the time to see where the hub of power. Did I take a moment to notice it? “If you are often in me…” ---From this center, we must continually practice, think and work. “I will do whatever you ask in my name…” Do I live in Him? Did I take the time to live in Him? What is the greatest source of power in my life? Is it to work, serve, sacrifice, or work as hard as you can for God? It is the Lord’s salvation producing the greatest power in my life. The things affecting us the most are not those taking the most time, but those having the greatest capacity in our minds. We must limit and focus on our minds.
“I will do whatever you ask in my name…” The disciples living in Jesus are the will of God. Their apparent free choice is actually God’s preordained will. Mysterious? Is it logically paradoxical? Yes, but it is glorious truth for the saints.
Dear God, for the throne of grace, let me receive the mercy without any fear, and receive this grace to glorify you. I praise you.
