昨天还记得couch作动词的意思，今天回顾的时候居然忘了他的词义。所以打算每天还是记两三个单词。

1. . be beside yourself： to be feeling so angry, excited etc that you find it difficult to control yourself〔由于气愤、激动等而〕失去控制; 忘形:

原文：Her favorite position is beside herself, and her favorite sport is jumping to conclusions.

The poor girl was almost beside herself.那个可怜的女孩快要气疯了。

2. give sb the benefit of the doubt 姑且相信某人

If I had given a high score to the first essay, I gave the student the benefit of the doubt whenever...

1. system 1 快速下结论的能力，在熟悉领域是可靠而高效的，但是如果是发生在System 1不熟悉的复杂领域，由于缺乏足够的信息，大脑会利用记忆信息，构建貌似合理的结论，这时我们往往会出现思维错误。通过systme2的有意干预可以避免这种思维错误。

2. 什么会让SYSTEM 1趋于犯错的状态：光环效应、聚众效应（比如开会是有强势发言这，我们往往会快速趋同），过于自信

今天翻了下中文版，结果在第七章发现一个明显的错误：

  The Moral is significant: when system  2 is otherwise engaged, we will believe almost anything. System 1 is  gullible and  biased to believe, System 2 is in charge of doubting and unbelieving, but system 2 is sometimes busy and often lazy.

中文版把第一句译成当系统2参与时，这里engaged应该是被占用的意思，即当system2被占用时，我们几乎会相信任何事。因为负责分析思考的system2被其它事情占用了嘛。
