Among the several types of fruits, plums are my favorite. The reason why I love them so much is a mystery.
When I was a little kid, I tasted plums by chance. From that moment, I have been addicted to the taste of plums, a mixture of tart and astringent and sweet flavors. Furthermore, they are always very crisp, which is fantastic to me.
During the years of my primary schooling, I could only enjoyed plums now and then as I didn't own a plum tree and had no money to buy some. It had been a great wish to cultivate my own plum trees.
Just after I entered the middle school, the chance occurred to me. On my way to and fro the middle school, I found many plum trees on one side of a section of the road. To my joy, there were many little ones beside the big plum trones. So, without any difficulty, I pulled out two and took them back and planted them in the field very carefully.
From then on, the two little plum trees had become my great concern. From time to time, I fertilized, weeded and watered them with a strong hope that they could grow up, blossom and yield fruits as quickly as possible.
When I became a high school student, I finally enjoyed the plums of the two frees I had planted by myself.
Later, my college life began and then I often missed the time to eat the plums of my own trees. But unfortunately, they were dead because of their old age after a few years. Even though, the flavor of plums in my hometown has been always in the depth of my heart.
Now, though I have been working and living in the Northwest of China for over twenty years, I still often miss plums, the taste of home whenever the season approaches. I will try my best to buy some similar plums and enjoy them.
Whenever I find some satisfactory plums, I can't help sharing pictures on my WeChat Moments or sharing fruits with my friends. If they also like them, I will feel very happy.
