If you ever visit Sandusky, you might consider staying at another hotel. The hotel’s website stated that children stay for free, but the manager told us that we had to pay for an additional bed for our daughter. Also, I saw an ad for the “Standard Room” and the “Deluxe Room.” According to the ad, the Deluxe Room had some lovely views of the ocean. It seemed like a great deal, so I reserved it. When I got to my room and opened the windows, all I could see was another building! The manager said that the ad was old and that I had to pay more money for a better view! The CEO was even quoted in the ad as saying that “all Four Trees hotels have heated swimming pools, free breakfast, and complimentary bottles of water.” The manager said that none of these things were available at the hotel anymore and that he’d make sure the advertisement was taken out of the newspaper. He mentioned that they do still have free fruit at the front desk, and I did enjoy some delicious Sandusky apples. My experience was pretty bad overall, though.
