People often overestimate how much others care about our positive and also negative actions. We may think the spotlight is on us, as everyone is looking at us and judging us, when in reality, the large majority of people simply don’t care . This is very every important concept that we should need to internalize if you are struggling with society anxiety.
See, the main reason that we feel anxious around others is that we feel they are watching us and judging us. We are scared to act how we want to be ourselves because we don’t want risk people looking down on us. But in reality, the large majority of people stuck in their own heads and thinking about themselves, not you.
I know that sounds like a kind of bad thing but this is just the human nature. The moment you internalize this concept and genuinely believing in it, your level of society anxiety will drop significantly, but of course, it’s much easier said than done.
From now on, forget how you look like in others eyes, concentrate on your inside. Always remember you are not so important that everybody knows you. Others are busy, they are stuck in their own business, they don’t simply care about you.
Nevertheless the most important is being yourself and being happy!
