Birthday

Today is my daughter’s birthday. However, my wife and I have to work outside, while she is home and on her summer holiday.

I said happy birthday to her on WeChat when I opened my PC at the office in the morning. A few days ago, I had asked her if she wanted a smartphone as a birthday gift, she said no because most of high schools don't allow students to own smartphones. By the time we got home, we hadn’t bought her any special gift, except for a cake brought by my wife.

At night, we sang birthday songs, and my daughter blew out the candles after making a wish, and then we ate cake. From today on, she is a fifteen-year-old girl.
