• Listening-The World's Population"

The world’s population is growing. There are over 7 billion people in the world. During the 20th century, the population grew from 1.65 billion to 6 billion. It’s now going at a rate of around 1.1% per year.[现在每年的增长率约为1.1％] That means an increase is about 80 million per year. By 2024 the population is expected to be around 8 billion people.
