These days, I read 《The mysterious Island》（神秘岛）, though I read the chines edition, but I still want's to write a English reading journal。
The book is about five soldiers in Civil War, how had been captured. Just as they were finding a way out of there situation, a heave wind came. Because of the wind, a hot are balloon was forced to delay the flight, and was packed. One of the prisoner noticed this, and called some of his friends to leave where they were, and the five people, were Cyrus Smith an engineer；Nab, Cyrus Smith's loyal servant;Gédéon Spilett a reporter；Pencroff a seaman； Harbert Brown a 15 years old child. And Cyrus Smith's dog.
The six of them drove the hot air balloon, across the see. But some of the balloon's air had gone out, and there were no land in site, so the man dropped all of there things, to let the balloon fly a little longer, delaying the death which with bound to come. But just as all the man lost all hope, they saw land, they keep dropping things to let the balloon fly higher, but it was still not enough, the balloon was sinking into sea water. And the waves were about to swallow them, miraculously the balloon went up again, and the man, step onto land.
But, there were just fore of them left, Cyrus Smith was gone. Everyone was in great miserable, because Cyrus Smith was the cleverest of all of them, and could think a solution for almost everything, but now, he, and his dog had gone.
The remain of the man stats to live on this island, and had found a home, which they called “fireplace”, nothing exiting happened in two or three days, till.
Cyrus Smith's dog ran into "fireplace" in a stormy night, and, the body of the dog had no water or mud. But the fore of them had no time to notice this. They followed the dog, and the dog let them to Cyrus Smith.
Cyrus Smith had been swollen into the sea by the waves, and then, Cyrus Smith's mind was blank. But somehow, Cyrus Smith had been able to walk some distance from the sea, even if the waves had taken Cyrus Smith to the shore, because there were footprint from the sea to were Cyrus Smith lies. But at that moment, this is not important, the most important thing to do, is to let Cyrus Smith wake.
Cyrus Smith had recover quickly, and four, became six again. The man had nothing, but yet everything, the island hand giving them everything they needed. Well, every thing the need to make what they needed. The island even give them a place to live, not "fireplace" that place will be full of water went the tide rise. It's a place in a rock, lake water flows though the that place to get to the see, the entrance is under the lake. So, the engineer bombed a hole(yes, they made dynamites） to let the water out, the lake surface reduce and soon, the entrance to the "cave" appears.
They fix up the cave, block the entrance were water came in wen the lake surface was high, and they made another on, and uses rope ladder to climb up and down.
The living in the cave was every comfortable, but many weird things happened.
Once, they were going to explore the island, and they found a lake, tome thing was inside, a huge water beast. The dog went barking mad(the dog was every clever and every loyal),and jumped into the water, Cyrus Smith didn't even had time to stop it.
But just as the man were worrying, the dog was thrown out of the water buy a mysterious power, and not long after, the beast was dead, and flown to the surface of the water.
And once, they had found a bullet in a pig, which means that there were bound to be other people on the island. But they climbed a hill once, were one can see the whole island, but there was no trace of living, and none smoke coming from somewere.
Why is this? Are there other people on the island. Why is this people so willing to help them ,but not show itself? Is there something wrong with this island? Why is there almost every thing, just if the island were expecting someone will come.
