Bonding :A Cyclical Process of Moving to the World and Back to the Self

It is important to know how a client bonds. If a client tries to
make you a well-ordered logical person and you aren't, you could look for the function of his projection. Is the function to distort reality so he feels safe? It may be a statement about himself projected onto you in order to take it back.

If a person sees you as logical, you can talk about how he uses his own logic. He can then take back what is his and you can admit that you aren't very logical.如果一个人认为你是合乎逻辑的，你可以谈论他如何使用自己的逻辑。然后他就可以收回他的东西，你就可以承认你不是很合乎逻辑。

Bonding has to do with the therapist's ability to understand
himself. A therapist may find that a client sees something in him that he doesn't know about himself. Perhaps the client sees the therapist as a cold, rejecting person. If the therapist has a stake in seeing himself as warm and accepting, then he must deny the client's projections.
——突然想到了一致性，我们有多少的时候是一致的呢？
Perhaps this client had a mother who always wanted him to be warm, and he resented that, so he now makes the therapist cold so as not to be trapped as before.也许这个来来访者的母亲一直希望他感到温暖，他对此感到不满，所以他现在让治疗师变冷，以免像以前那样被困住。

The main tools a therapist has are his own responses.
