赋得古原草送别

【唐】白居易

    离离原上草，一岁一枯荣。

    野火烧不尽，春风吹又生。

    远芳侵古道，晴翠接荒城。

    又送王孙去，萋萋满别情。

【注释】

(1)赋得：借古人诗句或成语命题作诗，诗题前一般都冠以“赋得”二字，称为"赋得体"。

(2)离离：青草茂盛的样子。

(3)一岁一枯荣：枯，枯萎。荣，茂盛。野草每年都会枯萎一次，茂盛一次。

(4)远芳侵古道：远芳，草香远播。侵，侵占，长满。芳草绵延不绝覆盖着古老的驿道。

(5)晴翠：草原明丽翠绿。

(6)王孙：本指贵族后代，此指远方的友人。

(7)萋萋：形容草木长得茂盛的样子。

【译文】

原野茂盛草青青，年年枯萎又繁荣。野火燎原烧不尽，春风化雨又重生。芳草蔓延弥古道，晴光碧绿接荒城。再次送别知心友，茂草深深似我情。

【英译】

  Flourishing grasses spread on the plain ,and once every year they wither in winter and grow in spring.

  Grasses cannot be burnt out by wild fire, and they flourish again with the spring breezes.

    The scent of grass spreads far and invades the ancient path,and the sunny green joins the ruined city.

  Again I am to see you off,a close friend of mine,my affectionate feeling of parting is as deep as the tall grass.
