写英文论文的小技巧

今天老师对我的英文论文从头到尾进行了修改，并花费两个小时的时间给我讲解，特此总结老师讲到的英文论文书写中的细小差别

• when和while
  能用when的地方都可以用while替换，英文中最好用while。
  as也可作为当......时，但是最好用while.
• 论文中不要出现we,us,之类的人称代词

1. 改为被动语态
   we also take the median value of 0.72改为the median value is taken as 0.72
2. 改为it is .....
   our regret for using p 改为it is regret for using p
3. 改为代词如the、these之类的，例如:our evaluations 改为these evaluations
   let us find 改为 it needs to find

• 不要随便用to
  如果to表示目的，则尽量用in order to或者so as to
• first,second,之类的用法
  不要单独的在论文中写出first之类的词，如果需要请用firstly。
  例如
  the original data was first processed into event templates改为the original data was firstly processed into event templates
• 同一个动词不要重复出现
  例如:represents，如果再次出现则可以改为means、describes、refer to
• 遇到越来越...之类的句式
  预测的概率值越大，则损失函数越小
  改为：The smaller the loss function is, the
  higher the effectiveness of the prediction is(记住加is)
• 连词的使用
  表示转折时，不要用and而要用besides
  thus/then、otherwise
• 什么时候用this paper
  in our case改为in this paper
  In this work改为in this paper
• 英文中说开发怎么用
  不用developed，而用implemented
• 摘要和总结中尽可能用的语气
  尽量多用can
