实用英语 |【深思熟虑】怎么说？

相信你在说英语的时候，一定遇到过这种情况：想和对方说“我仔细想了想blah blah…”，但是话到嘴边却不知道怎么表达？

1. think over sth.

想了又想并且得出了结论或做出了决定

【例句】

She said she needs time to think it over.

她说，她需要时间好好想一想。

2. consideration n. 思考

give careful consideration to sth.

仔细考虑某事

【例句】

Before writing your answers please give careful consideration to the questions. 

请在回答之前仔细考虑一下问题。

3. chew v. 咀嚼

chew over sth.

嚼了又嚼，说明想得很仔细

【例句】

He tends to chew things over too much in his mind

他这个人就爱在心里反复琢磨事儿。

4. mull v. 加热……成热饮

mull over sth.

热了又热，果然是深思"熟"虑

【例句】

I need a few days to mull things over before I decide if I'm taking the job.

在决定是否做这份工作前，我需要几天时间仔细考虑。

5. ponder v. 沉思

ponder deeply (over) sth.  深思熟虑

【例句】

She pondered deeply over her words.

她反复琢磨她的话。

6. ruminate v. 长时间思考

【例句】

He ruminated for weeks about whether to tell him or not.

几个星期他一直在反复考虑是否要告诉他真相。
