我便去叩问那帷幕后的“我中汝
举起我的两手求灯照我暗途；
我听见有声如自外来——
“汝中的我乃是盲瞽！”

Then of the Thee in Me who works behind
The Veil, I lifted up my hands to find
A Lamp amid the Darkness; and I heard,
As from Without—“The Me within Thee blind! ”
[注释]我中汝（Thee in Me）：指神言。汝中我（Me within Thee）：指人言。<br/>人之智力终无解决形而上的存在之希望。

我便俯就这土瓶的唇边，
想探询我生命的幽玄：
唇儿对我唇儿默默道——
“生时饮罢！——死去不可复还。”
