悠悠远古忆沧桑，周口遗痕韵久长。
猿骨初惊尘世目，石痕犹带岁华霜。
群居洞穴求安处，火猎山林觅馔香。
漫道洪荒途路渺，文明星火已微光。

Ode to the Peking Man at Zhoukoudian

In the long passage of ancient times, I recall the vicissitudes.
The remnants at Zhoukoudian carry a lasting charm.
When the ape bones were first discovered, they astonished the world.
The marks on the stones still bear the frost of the passing years.
They lived in groups in the caves, seeking a place of safety.
With fire, they hunted in the mountains and forests, searching for the fragrance of food.
Though the wild and ancient road was vast and the journey seemed long,
The spark of civilization had already shown a faint light.
